COME APK Not Installing? Troubleshoot Each Error
Match the Android message to the right next step. A COME APK download failure, a permission prompt and an “App not installed” message happen at different stages.

First, identify the stage
| Visible symptom | Likely stage | Start with |
|---|---|---|
| No file in Downloads | Download or redirect | The COME link guide |
| Install unknown apps prompt | Permission for the app opening the APK | Allow that source only after checking the file’s origin |
| Problem parsing package / invalid package | Unreadable or incompatible file | Check that download completed, then compare file details |
| App not installed / conflicts with existing package | Android package installation | Check existing app and installer message; preserve the working app |
| App installs but sign-in fails | Account access | The COME login guide |
Check the APK, source and completed download
Use the COME download page and confirm the file actually finished downloading. Do not install a renamed HTML page or an incomplete file. The APK verification record gives a dated public sample’s version, package, byte size and SHA-256 for comparison.
A file’s name alone does not identify it. A different hash can indicate a different legitimate build or a changed file; the old reference does not certify a new download.
Allow installation only for the app opening the file
Android’s wording varies by phone. If you have checked the source and chosen to continue, the Install unknown apps permission applies to the browser or file manager opening the APK. Return to that file to continue. Restore the permission afterwards if you do not need it.
Do not disable Play Protect or dismiss a security detection just to force installation. Keep the warning text and ask for a verifiable replacement file or support.
An existing COME app may explain the conflict
Android can reject an update if package identities or signing certificates differ, or if the offered version cannot replace the installed one. Do not uninstall your only working copy before ensuring you can access the account and recover the necessary information.
Record the installed version, proposed file details and exact message. These checks narrow the cause; they do not prove which error happened on your phone.
Know when installation has succeeded
Confirm Android completed the installation
Look for the installer’s completion state and an app icon.
Open the app
Confirm it launches; a launch problem is separate from the installer.
Check access and version
Use the current version information and account sign-in. An installed icon does not prove you recovered an existing account.
Frequently asked questions
Should I uninstall COME when an update fails?
Preserve the working installation until you have checked account access and the exact conflict. Uninstalling may remove local data and will not fix an untrusted or incompatible file.
Does allowing unknown apps prove the APK is safe?
No. It is an Android installation permission, not a security assessment of the file.
